Service Description

Looking for the best launch point to explore New Point Comfort Lighthouse? This is it. Davis Creek provides convenient access to one of Virginia's most iconic Chesapeake Bay landmarks and is one of our favorite departure points for guests looking to experience a little bit of everything the Bay has to offer. From here, you can cruise toward New Point Comfort Lighthouse, explore nearby waters, fish productive shoreline areas, and visit one of the region's most popular sandy beaches where local boaters often gather during the warmer months. Unlike our standard 24-hour rentals, this option is designed for guests who may not have access to a private dock or marina slip. Simply meet us at Davis Creek for your dockside orientation, enjoy a full day on the water, and return the boat to the launch location at the end of your rental. The 17' York River Skiff is easy to operate and perfect for exploring the Chesapeake Bay at a relaxed pace. Its shallow draft allows access to shorelines, coves, and areas larger boats often cannot reach. Powered by a reliable 9.9 horsepower outboard, it is ideal for sightseeing, fishing, crabbing, wildlife viewing, beach hopping, and enjoying a day on the water with family and friends. This vessel is not suitable for tubing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, or other tow sports. The rental includes required safety equipment and a Virginia Saltwater Boat Fishing License covering anglers fishing from the vessel. Anglers age 16 and older who do not already possess a Virginia saltwater fishing license must obtain a free Virginia Fisherman Identification Program (FIP) number prior to fishing. Whether you're cruising to the lighthouse, anchoring off a sandy beach, searching for fish, or simply enjoying a day on the Chesapeake Bay, Davis Creek offers one of the best starting points for adventure in Mathews County. Life on the water. Shared.
