Weekend 23' Carolina Skiff Charter

VA Certified Ecotour, Dolphin Tours, Lighthouse Tours, (no fishing charters)

3 hr
400 US dollars
Varies, Primarily depart from Mobjack Bay Marina

Service Description

No two trips are exactly alike on the Chesapeake Bay. Some days we may find dolphins feeding along a shoreline. Other days we may spend time exploring marshes alive with birds, cruising toward New Point Comfort Lighthouse, visiting remote sandy beaches, or watching watermen work the same waters that have supported coastal communities for generations. What makes these trips unique is not simply where we go, but how everything is connected. Wildlife, fisheries, navigation, shoreline change, local history, working waterfronts, storms, oysters, blue crabs, water quality, and the people who make their living from the Bay all help tell the story of this place. Along the way you'll gain a deeper understanding of the Chesapeake Bay while enjoying a private experience tailored to your group's interests. Some guests enjoy searching for wildlife and dolphins. Others are fascinated by lighthouses, local history, fisheries, coastal resilience, or the environmental challenges facing the Bay today. Many enjoy a little bit of everything. Depending on conditions and your interests, trips may include dolphin viewing, lighthouse tours, wildlife observation, beach exploration, scenic cruising, photography opportunities, visits to working waterfronts, and discussions about the forces that continue to shape Virginia's coastal communities. These are private charters limited to six guests, allowing plenty of flexibility to follow what is interesting, spend more time in a particular area, ask questions, and enjoy the experience at your own pace. Tours are led by a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain, Virginia Certified Ecotour Guide, Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional – Shoreline, former Coastal Resilience Planner, and maritime first responder with over a decade of experience working on and around Virginia's coastal waterways. Whether you're visiting the area for the first time or have spent your life around the Bay, you'll leave with a deeper appreciation for the landscapes, wildlife, heritage, and communities that continue to shape life on the water today. Life on the water. Shared.
